Mad Props to all of the support everyone has shown us, from Matty Sheets, Eating the Invaders, Subterranean Bums, and Monkeywhale Productions.

We have all been fortunate enough to feel the love from you all this past month, and I need you to know how much it means to us.

Thanks to the Dotmatrix Project for putting these shows together every month.  Thanks to Harvey Robinson of Monkeywhale Productions for being a crazy director who constantly puts out beautiful work.  Thanks to James Marshall Owen for his amazing work on and off the stage.  Thanks to Driveway for making me behave myself.  Thanks to Barry Staples for driving us all around in his car or on the drums.  For all of the support, thanks to Carolyn de Berry, Eating the Invaders, Subterranean Bums, Citified, the Leeves, Don Ravon, our families, Jason Voss, Lil Mikey Roohan, Donna Smith, Julie Welch, Basalt, Our Horse Jethro, Vel Indica, the Crap Rock All-Stars, the Green Bean, the Flatiron, Josh Neas, Lisa Dames, Alex and Jenny Maness, Vijay, Rachel Grant, Jamie Coggins, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, everyone who comes out to shows to support live local music, Christine Gieger of the Emberellas, Ashley Kirkman of the Cherry Bombers, Allen Martin and Nightlife Photography, and of course: you.

Thanks so much.

Love is Dead (The Musical)

Here’s Monkeywhale’s submission to the 2009 48 hour film festival.
Additional writing credit should go to Mike Lowe, who worked on Swim Film’s production, “Polish Versus” this year. They deservedly received awards.
Every element in this short was created and edited within a 48 hour timeline and no alterations have been made since.
Many thanks to everyone who [...]

Harvey’s Kitchen: Amelia’s Mechanics, Part 1

Around a year ago, Molly McGinn ventured into our kitchen with a small outfit she hustled together from local musicians which she fondly called her “Buster Dillys.”
Over the course of the following 15 months or so she encountered Molly Miller and together with Kasey Horton they formed Amelia’s Mechanics, very quickly releasing their first album, [...]
