Amelia’s Mechanics fix the Flat.

Molly McGinn, Molly Miller, Kasey Horton, and the new guy, straighten up the Flatiron as Amelia’s Mechanics.

An acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and a viola up front.  A male drummer named Dave in the back.  Molly McGinn refers to him as “the new guy”, and “whatever your name is.”

Truth be told, I saw Amelia’s Mechanics on Friday, two days after the drummer joined up with the ladies.  Didn’t sound like it.  It sounded great.

They told stories about Amelia Earhart, instructed us on the difference between a viola and a fiddle, pretended to not know their drummer, and surely entertained us all.  Amelia’s Mechanics fixed us up good.

Another good time at the Flatiron, the show was kicked off by Marc Cool and headlined by Mystkdog.  Photographs of Mystkdog coming soon.

but yeah… that was a great night and this is probably the best musical outfit i’ve seen molly with… great stuff…

Harvey’s Kitchen: Amelia’s Mechanics, Part 1

Around a year ago, Molly McGinn ventured into our kitchen with a small outfit she hustled together from local musicians which she fondly called her “Buster Dillys.”
Over the course of the following 15 months or so she encountered Molly Miller and together with Kasey Horton they formed Amelia’s Mechanics, very quickly releasing their first album, [...]
