Live and in action. Sometimes invisible. Taken at the show at Solaris this month.
The show was kicked off by a couple of stand up comics. They were funny, raunchy, and I think they may have made some of the audience uncomfortable. I loved it.
Then the first band of the evening, a duo by the name of Basalt, took over. Some soft, some heavy, the one guitar, drum kit, and very original vocals filled up the room nicely.
Then came Invisible. Crazy good songs, interesting playing, and a great crowd response. Bart Trotman has been on Harvey’s Kitchen with another project, Workday Schoolnight, and I have heard tale of Invisible formerly playing with a typewriter that displayed words and played music. This three piece version of Invisible left nothing lacking, mind you, and I wasn’t alone in my assessment.
And then, to close out the night was the Sugar High Gang. They blew into Greensboro to get us dancing. They succeeded. Dance hop, a bit electronic, their set book ended the evening- closing the show with a duo.
High energy doesn’t really explain it. Hopefully these photographs will help.
THE END
