Yo check it. So the Final Four has bounced into Detroit, Michigan. The games will be played at Ford Field. Yes, Ford Field. It’s quite funny to me that the giant automobile company being bailed out by our government will be hosting the Final Four.
I wonder how many millions of dollars it costs to have their name on the building? Good for Ford.
The first game on tap is the University of Connecticut against Michigan State. Michigan State will be playing in their own backyard and there will be tons of green shirts in the stands, but UCONN is just too strong. Connecticut also has unfortunate dumb luck on their side. Coach Jim Calhoun was hospitalized for dehydration and missed their first round game. Calhoun has missed tourney games in the past after being hospitalized, both years resulting in national titles. That’s all I’m saying.
The next game on tap is the University of North Carolina against Villanova. Both teams are playing great, beating opponents by double figures. UNC has their star player, Ty Lawson, back from injury and he’s running the team with great poise and leadership. Villanova just can’t run with UNC. Villanova has lost to the eventual national champion the last three out of four years. Good for UNC. That’s all I’m saying.
My prediction: UNC and UCONN will play for the national title on Monday night. President Obama has picked UNC to win it all. Sorry Obama. UCONN has unfortunate dumb luck on their side and I like it. Call me superstitious. UCONN in 2009. That’s all I’m saying.
