Vegetarians Do It Better?

0 Comments 28 Jan, 2009

As Americans stock up on beer and cheese dip for the Superbowl this weekend, there will inevitably be much speculation about commercials.  And Bruce Springsteen.  Long after people remember the score of the game or who won for that matter, they remember the commercials.  The successful ones, of course, come back with a vengeance for years to come.  The cavemen, the geckos, wazzzzzup…you know them all, I bet.

This year the hottest commercial you won’t see is from everyone’s favorite organization PETA.  Not one to stray from controversy, PETA has produced a sizzling, sultry, adults only please ad featuring sexy models who love (and I mean LOVE) their veggies.  Of course NBC didn’t think this was up to their usual impeccable standards and so the ad was canned.  PETA laughs, people use technology and watch it online, a bunch of people write about it, point made.  I wouldn’t be surprised if that was PETA’s plan all along.

For the record it is really funny.  We laughed out loud.  We also weren’t sitting next to our five year olds when we hit play so take that as your warning.

Budweiser what you got?
