We liked Emily Moore the first day we met her. She and her boyfriend Justin Huey came from Charlotte about eight months ago to do a Kitchen session as their band Seahorses . They were both kind and fun and laid back and the kind of people with whom one falls into an easy friendship. Also, they immediately befriended our beloved cat Baffi Lungi and gave us encouraging words about his then recently diagnosed kidney disease which, to us, is always a sure sign we’re in good company.
Emily came back in June with her band, The Emily Moore Band, the day after a huge flood swept through Greensboro. Emily and her bandmates didn’t blink an eye when we asked them to stand in a stream or play a song in the pouring rain. Emily doesn’t hesitate and she doesn’t complain and it was at the end of this entertaining afternoon that Harvey asked her if she’d like to come take part in our 48 Hour Film. Without really knowing what she was getting herself into, Emily accepted and along with Mike Tourek and Megan McIver ultimately earned us a “Best Acting” award. She’s earned an all around “good lady” in my book and we’re excited about all sorts of fun projects with her in the future.
Here are some behind the scenes photos of the lovely, talented, Emily Moore and her band. Check back soon for their video.
