This was by far the fastest kitchen session. Pete Schroth of Giant Invisible Cyclops had booked the band for a show at Studio B in Greensboro and some last minute calling to the manager brought them by our place. I was nervous. The all important third mic I thought was going to solve a lot of my problems actually ended up creating them.
If you haven’t heard Blind Pilot before now, you should take them out on a walk, or a drive, or a bike ride. There must be something in the water in Portland, Oregon.
As part of their west coast tour, they cycled over 2000 miles with all of their gear and two signs (one on each bike, respectively penned with “BLIND” and “PILOT” and much to the consternation of passing commuters the blind was leading the pilot for much of the trip).
Followers of our twitter page asked if they’re planning another bike tour and it seems they might sometime in the future, but they weren’t forthcoming with any dates.
Keep an eye on the monkeywhale. There are some major changes coming in the future, including live events.
Good luck to Ryan and Israel on their tour.

They are fantastic. The way this is shot is just beautiful – really captures the quality of their work.
I am now officially a fan.

Brilliant sir. I know that was a whirlwind of an interview, but you managed yet again to expunge a plethora of goodness out of it. Good show mate!
