Harvey's Kitchen — Eric Robertson, take 2

0 Comments 10 Jan, 2009

Eric Robertson, lead singer and mandolin player for Beaconwood, a Greensboro-based newgrass band is also lead singer and mandolin player for the Boston-based, Boston Boys who will be touring across the United States this summer.

He along with other members of the Boston Boys currently attend Berkley college of music.  A number of people thought Eric would be a good choice for the kitchen and after hearing him play with Scott Manring and Laurelyn Dossett at Triad Stage we were sold.  In the course of a few measures I heard influences of Jazz, Blues, Charanga, and the Beatles and his body contorted to the delicate weave of these musical undulations.

Eric is one of those rare individuals who finds something they love early and it shows.

Compressed at a lower resolution in order that those people not on a cable connection might view it.
