Filthybird.  Now, I know better.

This marks the 50th Harvey’s Kitchen video since we began in the final week of October, 2008.  It has probably been the steepest learning curve in all manner of aspects in my life.  Work.  Play.  Relationships.  Audio.  Camera Technique.  Business. Lack of business.  Joy.

This band, is a collection of really talented artists.  They live in Greensboro, NC.

On Thursday, April 30th they will be performing as part of the monthly Dotmatrix FREE.LIVE.MUSIC event along with another terrific Greensboro band, Albina Savoy.  It is not to be missed.

Buy their music.  Have them sign a t-shirt.  Hope they make a hit record.

Harvey K. Robinson is the cinematographer, editor, and director at Monkeywhale Productions. Originally from Derby, England he now resides in Greensboro, NC where he began a web series documenting musicians and artists from all over the country. Recipient of the 2009 HearNC "Marks, Stern and Thomas Award," winner of the 2010 48 Hour Film Festival Greensboro, and Betty Cone Medal of the Arts Nominee for 2011, his work has appeared as featured videos on Paste Magazine, E!News, and Aol spinner. Harvey’s commercial work has garnered 2 silver Addy awards in the past 2 years. With a background in Directing at NC School of the Arts and many years spent as a professional actor, Harvey brings a multi-disciplinary approach to each new creative endeavor whether it be a short film, music video, documentary, or commercial.

    Really really great video Harvey – one of my favorites for sure. The sound is really nice too.

    Soooooo good. I love this song. Mike D, you’re the man. One of my favorite “Save the Monkeywhale” spots too. HA!
