Harvey's Kitchen — Laurelyn Dossett, Part 1

6 Comments 30 Jan, 2009

Laurelyn Dossett, is a resident of Greensboro and a prolific songwriter. In addition to playing in the award winning Polecat Creek, she’s written songs for Brother Wolf, Beautiful Star and Bloody Blackbeard, all original productions co-written by Triad Stage Artistic Director, Preston Lane.

For Brother Wolf, Laurelyn composed the song “Anna Lee” which through an encounter with Larry Campbell in New York found it’s way onto Levon Helm’s Grammy Award winning Dirt Farmer Album.

Here she is with the wonderful Scott Manring. Nothing makes a more perfect evening than sharing a cup of tea with two fabulous musicians in your kitchen. Thank you both.
