Harvey's Kitchen — The Tremors

3 Comments 28 Jan, 2009

Jimmy Tremor, Slim Pickens, and Stretch Armstrong make up this Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Punk Trio.  Close your eyes and you can hear the tin din of a tiny black and white tv screen, the hum of a jukebox brought to life by a dime and the smell of axle grease.  There’s the unmistakable influence of Jerry Lee Lewis, McCarthy and a passion for absurd b-movies, and 50′s comics.

This band was a real stretch for us and probably our neighbors but after hearing them for 2 hours in close proximity next to the dish rack and refrigerator we wanted more.

Don’t miss them this Thursday at the Green Burro in downtown Greensboro as they perform as part of the dotmatrix project’s, FREE.LIVE.MUSIC series.  We’ll be there.

Big thanks to Sean Coon for setting this up.

  1. Harvey’s Kitchen: The Tremors » the dotmatrix project - January 30, 2009

[...] Harvey produced this killer interview the other day, just in time for The Tremors to hit the stage last night at the January DMP show. Both they and Matt Hill & The Buzzkillz were a blast. I’m going to assume Matt was able to get his pants buckled up again… [...]
