Now You See Them: Behind the Scenes

4 Comments 13 Sep, 2009

On a warm sunny day in July,  a certain group of charming individuals got into a vehicle and drove from Asheville to Greensboro, climbed up the stairs to our Kitchen and made us smile for the first time in a week.  And chuckle.  And break out a few hearty laughs.  And some of us (okay, me) even got a little choked up when they started playing because their music is simple and beautiful and sort of makes your heart fly right out of your chest.  I can’t explain it, really, but when you watch their video, which is coming up shortly, you will understand.

Now You See Them.  We can’t thank them enough. After sweltering under the hot lights and putting up with me continuously shooting photos in their face while they played, they braved the heat, insatiable mosquitoes and the occasional patch of dog doo to run around with us in the backyard until they were dizzy.  Then they drove back to Asheville.   And now you CAN see them. Save the Monkeywhale Festival on October 1st at Solaris  in downtown Greensboro right alongside Eating the Invaders and Holy Ghost Tent Revival.  Expect a few tears of joy that night.  No kidding.
