David Wax Museum: Will You Be Sleeping? (Part 2)

0 Comments 18 Aug, 2012

We first crossed paths with David and Suz in 2009.  It was a cold day and they played a few rounds of back yard badminton after performing a song in our cramped upstairs apartment kitchen.  I believe we rounded it all off with a dish of Korean food and a lot of smiles.  Fast forward a few years, congregated around a fire pit, David suggested we might collaborate on a music video for their upcoming album.

After listening to the song, “Will You Be Sleeping?” over a dozen times I asked David and Suz to provide with some childhood pictures of themselves for an idea that was percolating in my tiny brain.  After several weeks of ruminating, a few days of shooting, and a lot of help from our monkeywhale crew … this is what we came up with.  One song, two dreams.

Their new remarkable album, “Knock Knock Get Up,” comes out September 4th.
